A division of The SPAR Group Ltd is recruiting for a Butchery Manager to be based in Phalaborwa.
You must be a skilled and motivated Butchery Manager. The butchery manager will be required to manage the operation of the butchery according to agreed sales and profitability standards plans. Apply Food Safety standards. Implement department production plans and know how to handle butchery equipment.
Key Performance Areas:
- Manage butchery targets and profitability.
- Set ideal stock levels per product category.
- Set correct range to be available at the correct time of day/week.
- Ensure key value items are always in stock.
- Ensure that stock transfers are accurately recorded.
- Spot check price tickets on display to ensure current as well as neat and tidy.
- Conduct price surveys and ensure that prices on KVI’s are competitive.
- Ensure the correct packaging is used for specific products.
- Manage and maintain Hygiene standards for the department.
- Management and understanding of systems, policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Manage customer orders and complaints.
- Matric.
- A retail or business management related qualification would be advantageous.
- 1-3 years butchery management position.
- Must be assertive and excellent in decision making.
- Good communication skills.
- Efficient in building strategic relationships with staff and customers.
- High level of integrity.
- Numerical skills.
Inherent Job Requirements:
- Be available to work irregular hours in consideration of operational demands.
- Valid SA driver’s license.
- Own transport.
- Be prepared to relocate.
