SPAR North Rand, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd, is recruiting for a Retail Operations Manager At its Distribution Centre, located in Olifantsfontein
- Maintain close working relationships with SPAR retailers.
- Inspire, advise, and assist retailers with retail growth, profitability, and cash flow.
- Analysing and accurately interpreting of store performance statistics to consult retailers on improving poor performing areas and opportunities in their stores.
- Ensuring that store standards are upheld according to SPAR specifications and the respective hygiene and store standards audits.
- Compile Action plans, cash flow forecasts and feasibilities
- Performing store audits through structured store visits and the provision of written reports
- Have the ability to implement and action Stocktakes.
- Implementation and managing of retail projects.
- Liaise with and assist retailers with store openings and re- launches.
- Driving retail orders for both DC and drop shipment purchases.
- Manage risk in potential bad debt.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric.
- Business related tertiary qualification advantageous.
- Retail management experience preferably at management level, alternatively a minimum of 5 years’ experience as store manager at one of the major groceries chains or similar qualifications.
- Competent public speaker.
- Valid Driver’s license a necessity.
- Must be willing to travel extensively.
- Good skills in the following: communication, negotiation, planning, organizing, effective decision making and influencing.
