NWU is recruiting a successful Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor for teaching undergraduates and postgraduate students in Education Law modules, as well as supervising ERTP, Master, and PhD students.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Research
- Scholarly guidance, innovation, and initiation with regard to research in Education Law.
2. Teaching
- Teaching postgraduate and undergraduate modules in Education Law. Supervising masters and PhD
students.
3. Community Engagement
- Involvement in community engagement activities/initiatives
Minimum requirements
Associate Professor
· A PhD (NQF 10) in Education specialising in Education Law.
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching Education Law at a higher education institution.
· Author/co-author of research articles in accredited journals.
· Supervised master and doctoral students to completion.
· Participation in teaching and/or research activities at community level.
Senior Lecturer
· A PhD (NQF 10) in Education specialising in Education Law.
· A minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching Education Law at a higher education institution.
· Evidence of accredited research outputs.
· Supervised at least one masters student to completion.
· Involvement in teaching and/or research activities at community level.
ADDED ADVANTAGES & PREFERENCES:
· Member of funded research projects.
KEY FUNCTIONAL/ TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
· Have a proven publication record – especially over the last 5 years.
· Have a proven record of teaching and learning in higher education.
