Unlucky individuals might have had their SRD grant applications rejected. Read on to find out what ‘UIF registered’ means and what to do.If your R350 grant application is denied due to being ‘UIF registered’, we can help you figure out what this means.
Why Your Sassa R350 Grant Status Is Uif Registered
When you are referred to as ‘UIF registered’, SASSA has determined that you are receiving or are eligible for UIF benefits. Therefore, you are not eligible because you are receiving other funds or not unemployed.
In order to qualify for the SRD grant, you must have no other sources of income, as well as no UIF benefits or other grants, including NSFAS.
In the event you find that you are a member of UIF and benefit from their services, you are not eligible for the grant and should not proceed. However, if you discover that you are not employed and do not receive UIF benefits, you should submit an appeal for the R350 grant.
In order to appeal, you must submit your appeal on the website within 30 days of receiving your rejection status.
SASSA will have to reconsider your application and you will have to explain why you think you should receive the grant through this appeal.
