Job description

 

Profitability and Revenue
  • Ensure stores within your area populates detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual basis pertaining to revenues and expenses.
  • Ensure Head Office Marketing directives are implemented across the stores within your area.
  • Ensure all Head Office policies and protocols are implemented and maintained maximising store profitability.
  • Ensure store budgets set are maintained and within targets.
Customer Service
  • Superior service and maximize customer satisfaction with stores.
  • Address concerns with your store managers and discover lasting solutions while upholding customer satisfaction as the priority.
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints raised at Head Office within your area.
  • Submits weekly customer service reports to Regional Managers and outcomes.
Operations
  • Ensure managers maintain their store equipment /store look and image.
  • Ensure store waste levels are within the prescribed levels set by Head Office.
  • Ensure shrinkage policies and procedures are accurately adhered to at store level on daily /weekly basis.
  • Ensure store operational Front and Back of House systems and processes prescribed by Head Office are implemented and maintained to maximise the customer experience within your area.
  • Check daily access & movement of stock within your area.
  • Ensures stores place relevant orders based on trade expectations and forecasts.
  • Ensure stores hold adequate stock to ensure nil out of stocks.
Adherence to Shopkeeping disciplines
  • Ensure stores within your area maintains all regulatory practices pertaining to compliance with health and safety regulations,
  • Ensure stores within your area compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Ensure stores within your area regularly review product quality.
Minimise Shrinkage
  • Ensure store managers are following Security protocols pertaining to (e.g., CCTVs, G4S dropping, stock, random security & access)
  • Identify and manage all shrinkage hotspots within the department and liaise with Head Office on how to mitigate shrinkage.
People management
  • Ensure management organize shift rosters according to trade.
  • Make sure all new recruits are trained on all practices and processes and signed off.
  • Appraise Management performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
  • Ensure store managers manage HR processes – time sheets, leave planner, training schedules, rosters & transport.
  • Ensure store managers manage HR Labour practices pertaining to employee recruitment, performance management, discipline, and work schedules.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • A matric certificate and relevant management experience are essential for this position.
  • Hospitality diploma or degree an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Restaurant General Manager
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager.
  • Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge,
  • Previous experience with restaurant management software.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Acute financial management literacy
ADDITIONAL CRITERIA
  • Experience in both front and back of house is essential.
  • Strong track record of people management and development is essential.
  • Able and flexible to work different shifts – Shift roster which may be changed to suit the needs of the operation.
  • Weekends, evenings and Public Holiday workdays and times is mandatory.
  • 6-day work week role.
