Saldanha Bay Municipality is seeking applicants for the position of Firefighter Learnership Programme 2023.

T6 (R152 533.56 – R197 995.08 p.a.) salary scale
Performs a wide range of responsibilities connected with reacting to and dealing with firefighting incidents. Maintaining and operating firefighting equipment and apparatus.
Maintaining fire station facilities under supervision and doing associated work as needed to protect the lives and property of Saldanha Bay Municipality people in compliance with the Fire Brigade Services Act (Act 99 of 1987).
Requirements:
Grade 12
There is no prior experience necessary.
Driver’s license type B Advantageous
There is no criminal record.
Physical and mental fitness
NFPA 1582 medical examination
CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test)
Applicants possessing a fireman 1 certificate will be given preference.
Regulation 13 of the Local Government Municipal Staff Regulations states that all appointees are subject to a 6-month trial period.
