The Organisation requires the services of a Supply Chain Management Practitioner. This position will be based at Tsitsikamma National Park.
The remuneration package includes an all-inclusive cost to company salary, based on the scale of a position with a Paterson C4 job grade, allowances and benefits as specified in the HR tariff Document and Conditions of Services of SANParks. The appointment will be in accordance with the EE targets plan.

Requirements:

  • Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management. Post-Diploma/Post-Degree in Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.
  • 1 to 3 years of public sector experience as a Specialist in SCM.
  • Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act.
  • Knowledge of Preferential Procurement Policy Framework.
  • Knowledge of Logistics.
  • Knowledge of SANParks Business.
  • Legal knowledge in relation to Supply Chain Management.
  • Knowledge of National Supplies Procurement Act.
  • Knowledge of Constitution of the Republic of South Africa.
  • Must demonstrate Computer literacy.
  • Should have Managerial, Analytical, Negotiation, Facilitation, and Organizing Skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To maintain regional contract registers used as mechanisms to monitor annual payments to service providers.
  • To coordinate the identification of regional procurement needs as informed by the Annual Procurement Plan, Business Plan and Budget.
  • To provide expert advice to end-users regarding the development of short- and long-term service level agreements for repeat purchases in conjunction with the Supply Chain Corporate Office.
  • To build, maintain and manage stakeholder relations.
  • To monitor and report on supply chain transactions as per the directive from Corporate Supply Chain Office.
  • To manage risks associated with the procurement of services and goods.
  • To manage an auditable administrative system of the region’s assets.
  • To continuously manage and appraise submissions of the supplier database.
  • To coordinate and maintain the pre-vendor qualification directory.
  • To continuously evaluate the quality of goods and services rendered by the suppliers and assess their performance.
  • To ensure compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) prescripts.
  • To assist in the development of SMMEs in the area.
  • To continuously train and increase awareness to staff on new Treasury Regulations and Treasury Notes.

Salary: R 255 070 – R 393 041
