Togglethe person will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Provide effective and efficient people generalist function for the Region.
- Managing the recruitment and selection process in line with business needs.
- Providing ongoing guidance and support to management and employees on employee relations matters.
- Ensuring compliance with legislative reporting requirements related to employment equity.
- Provides people and administrative support to the site leadership as and when required including monthly and weekly people- related reports.
- Becomes a people policies custodian on site.
- Ensures confidentiality on employees’ records and information on site in alignment with the applicable legal requirements.
- Participating in specific people projects and initiatives.
- Representing the company in all IR cases up to CCMA level as and when required.
- Actively promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Travel to sites as and when needed.
Minimum Experience & Key Competencies Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Behavioral Sciences or People & Culture Management.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Generalist in a mining/manufacturing people management environment.
- Specialist knowledge of SA labour legislation and Industrial Relations.
- Experience working with unions in a mining/manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of IsiZulu would be advantageous.
- The ability to address employee relations professionally, consistently, fairly and with empathy.
- MS packages i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sage 300.
- Code 8 Driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle/transport.
- Candidates must be medically fit to perform duties (Determined by Occupational Medical Practitioner).
- Ability to generate professional internal and external communication.
The candidates must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness.
